Very well run family spot. The food is amazing quality and such great prices! I highly recommend anyone in or passing through Leavenworth to give this spot a try! Kid friendly as well! They have a nice kids menu!!
First time I ate lunch here was 49 years ago. Still a great place to eat. Not fancy but if you like ribs, chicken fried steak and other traditional down-home fare Pub is your place.

This is our first time eating here we had lunch there. The drinks were good. The calamari appetizer had 7-8 fried pickles in it. Our entrees took over 30 minutes from receiving our drinks. The mac & cheese needed something very bland. The side salad was warm and too creamy. The pork tenderloin sandwich was good. The fries were amazing *Note to the restaurant staff if the kitchen is behind please communicate this to the tables we would be understanding if there is communication.
Our trio absolutely loved The Suburban! Even though there was a short wait I can say I would have waited 10 times longer, It was so worth it! The food was eye rolling, moan causing perfection! We all had to try the others plate. The meals were plated to showoff the most mouth watering spectacle! We ordered the Ribeye- it had amazing flavor and was incredibly tender; Horse Soldier Bourban Porkchop- it had a lively sweet taste and huge butterfly chop mixed with the roasted potatoes and fresh garlic greenbeans made for a perfect balance; Honey coated chicken fried chicken- juicy with an honest to goodness cornmeal breading was a taste of down home with a splash of class! Absolutely Devine! The service could not have been better. Richard-Two Eagles was attentive, knowledge and very funny! He was on point! Even with a full house and patio private party we never felt ignored or unimportant, quite the opposite! Let's talk moan worthy desserts... Omg, what their chefs can do to a cheesecake!!! Bacon!! Yes caramel drissel, candied pecans... and bacon!! Dressed a creamy, light nearly 3 inch thick slice of, what I can only describe as heaven on a plate!! I'm telling you I would never have thought about it before but... bacon! A big YES!! We also had the strawberry vanilla cheesecake!!! Lite, super creamy and every bit as delicious!! If you go to Ft. Leavenworth or Kansas City make this a destination your mouth and belly with thank you! Make sure to read the menu, it's hilarious!
Best restaurant in the Leavenworth area. The service and good are usually top-notch with very few issues. The outdoor seating area is great, especially on cool days or evenings. The inside can feel kind of crowded and loud but that's part of the vibe. Highly recommend the drink menu, short-rib or brisket Mac and cheese, and the burger options! The honey- Sriracha wings and calamari are our favorite starters.

First time trying this place, and the food tasted great. The eggs were cooked to perfection. This place is an excellent breakfast spot. My only complaint is that there should be some type of background music, but that is just preference.
I was visiting Leavenworth from out of town and I wanted a comforting breakfast in a nice atmosphere. The Depot certainly fits the bill! I had the pulled chicken hash Benedict and it was delicious! It has the best poached eggs I've had in years, a perfect hollandaise, and some really yummy smoked chicken! The donut muffins were a great addition to the meal as well, a perfect sweet touch. The service was lovely and warm and the space is a beautifully preserved old train depot. I would recommend this spot to anyone in and around Leavenworth.
Brunch stop at the Depot. I had the train wreck with coffee and my dining companion had the farmer's omelet. The food was served quickly and was tasty. The server was polite and helpful. Highly recommend.

This local place is amazing, super good food, great atmosphere, super friendly staff. Sporty / art deco decor. Amazing burgers. 100% recommend
Stopped by for soup and guacamole. The loaded potato soup was piping hot and delicious! Perfect for a blustery day. The guacamole was a little tangy for my liking. Nice assortment of craft beer. Hubby and I tried the lagunitas ipa which was very nice. Service was outstanding. Great place! Went for lunch with parents and sisters after a full morning of moving. I had a 4 oz cheeseburger with potato coins which was heaven on a bun. Dad had hot roast beef with all the fixings and the rest of the family had cheeseburgers (no one talked while eating). We had fried portobello mushrooms for an appetizer which were plentiful and delicious! Our server was Angie and she was extremely efficient and very sweet and fun! A trip to Leavenworth means a trip to Tenpenny!!! While checking out venues in 11worth, we stopped by this favorite for lunch. We were seated right away and our server arrived within seconds. Despite the restaurant being pretty busy our server deftly handled every single table. Yes, she was the only one on the floor. Quite impressive. We ordered the nachos and a beer (ok, it starts with y..ylingling?). Anyway, man, I love, love, love that beer. It pours a bit dark like lager but tastes like an ipa. Plus, it was ice cold-BIG PLUS! the nachos arrived and jeeminy, the portion size was huge-like probably Chris Jones #95 would eat it in 5 minutes? For us it was well, there's supper tonight, lunch and supper tomorrow! The taco beef was seasoned well; I would have preferred more heat but hubby doesn't do heat well. The toppings were PILED ON! see the photo as there were too many to mention. Just loved everything about this dish! Our server was attentive, spot on service, really in my top 5 of all time. The bathroom was super clean and decorated like you were in someone's home. You can't go wrong visiting Tenpenny!
They were amazing! Food was great and the staff went far beyond taking care of us after my father's funeral. Wonderful experience. Thank you all!

Have only been there once- so far. I like the building. It's a dive bar but it serves food too. It's cozy inside, nice bar, decent amount of seating. I could tell when I pulled into the parking lot thar there is a good sized covered back deck with additional seating. The drinks were poured well (not weak), the bartender & waitress were both really friendly. Both my friend and I ordered the same meal: the loaded fried bologna sandwich with fries. Huge sandwich. Really tasty! My friend got his with egg on it, I got mine without. The rest of the menu looked good too and it was all reasonably priced.
Local bar with ice cold drinks, good food, and friendly service. There is not a lot of seating for larger groups but the big screen makes for a great place to watch a game. The loaded fried bologna sandwich was delicious and very filling, you won’t walk out hungry. The bologna is a good 3/8-1/2 inch thick, a fried egg of your choice, two different cheeses, and onion rings. Pleasantly surprised with everything.
This was our second visit. The first was just meh. Dry tenderloin nothing basically good or outstanding. My husband had the tenderloin again. This time is wasn't dark and dry but had no flavor. It needed him with some salt or something. I got 2 chicken sliders and a side of tots. I'm thinking chicken tenders on a mini bun. I end up with two nearly burnt Tyson looking patties and about 10 Tots. Since it was alacarte tots i expected more than a handful. They, too needed salt. Husbands fries were a bit limp. As I looked around and saw no one else eating on a Friday night I realized people don't come for the food. Casey's chicken is amazing and I thought that a Grill could be as good or better but sadly, no. I basically left my whole meal on the table. I didn't want a refry of a generic Tyson patty

One of the best potato soups I’ve ever had. Rich and creamy. Homemade ranch was excellent as well. Service was friendly. I’d go back just for the soup!!
We came on a busy Sunday morning but after a quick couple minute wait got a table. Our waitress was busy but kind and never forgot about us! My kids loved all the trains and although we were at a normal table they have an amazing table for a lucky family with the train in the table! Our food was yummy and the perfect size for not having waisted food or feeling you have to over eat!
5/8/2024 Ordered pickup under a different name. Much better experience. Ordering was quick took less then 2 minutes. Arrived being greeted by the greeter. The hostess greeted as well. Much better interaction. I tipped 55%. 4/25/2024 The food was 10 out of 10, very affordable, and a good portion size. Called in a pick up order at 8am. The phone call was pleasant and quick to order. Arrived absolutely no one greeted saying hello. There were plenty of servers and a hostess around. Usually, I overtip. But based on the in person interaction. No tip. As I was leaving a pleasant young lady with dark brown hair, told me to have a good day with a smile. If I picked my order up from her, I would've tipped her well. I recommend taking the time to say hello to incoming customers. Make the customer feel more welcome.

Just had one of the most disappointing dinners of my life at this restaurant. My daughter and my wife ordered the seafood ravioli and I ordered a 10 ounce top sirloin. My wife and daughter found the seafood ravioli on edible due to saltiness and cheesiness and lack of seafood. My steak was the toughest piece of meat I’ve ever tried to eat, so I only got one bite in. It had no flavor and wasn’t even what I ordered. I ordered a single 10 ounce top sirloin. What I got was a two thin pieces of steak that were over cooked and held together by a thin piece of fat. Leaving the table my daughter’s bowl was for my wife’s bowl was full and my plate was full of food except for the sweet potato fries. I felt so bad that I chose that place for us to eat. When we got home, I made my family a really tasteful dinner to apologize. The thing that really pisses me off is I’m out $75 now. I spent $75 on corn on the cob that my daughter and wife ate bread and sweet potato fries that I ate. It’s not right. I feel as though I’ve been ripped off.
Excellent food and Excellent service! I definitely recommend ya give it a try...
Great food and service can't eat too go back to try new things!

Stopped by after some filming and WOW! I wouldn’t think an Italian restaurant in a smaller town would be so good. Was I wrong I had the Chicken Parmigiana and substituted the side with Fettuccine Alfredo. The chicken was juicy and sauce had good flavor. The fettuccine was creamy and full of flavor. My new fave Italian in Leavenworth.
This review is only for Mario's Pizzaria. When you walk in, the great pizza smell is incredible. Unfortunately, two of the four tables were dirty, there was trash on the floor and Christmas decorations were still up. They advertised "New York" style and having lived in Brooklyn, we were anxious to try it. The pizza was as close to NY style as we have had since moving to KS. The crust was thin but soft and there just the right amount of toppings. The meat lovers had a good variety of toppings and the Hawaiian was both sweet and savory. We also tried the gellato and were glad we did. Overall, I would give it a 4.5 if possible but since you can't, I gave it a 5.
Absolutely terrible service. My food was given to someone else and had to wait an additional 20 minutes (40 minutes total) to receive it. The response was “oops, well this is fresh” when they finally brought it out. (I would hope it is fresh). You are better off going somewhere else. The atmosphere of a cheap restaurant. Not a nice Italian place like you would expect it to be. Never going back.

Amazing atmosphere. The food was so fresh, melt in your mouth delicious. Had the jerk pork & curried goat, also got to try the jerk chicken would definitely order again and 100% recommend to anyone. It does have a mild spice to those who are sensitive to spice, but worth it anyway for the flavor. Server was so friendly and attentive. Wish we had one of these in Wichita! Will definitely be back here if in town again.
A perfect Caribbean experience and yet the ocean is still a thousand miles away! Who would have thought an Army Veteran in a Midwest town could be your culinary travel agent! ️ If you are looking for food in Ft. Leavenworth, do not miss the whole Red Snapper and the Oxtail entrées. My mother and I paired them with gin and tonics for a delightful, peaceful, quiet and refreshing experience. The owner and his staff are jovial, engaging and caring, as well as sophisticated in their tableside manner. Parking is easy and a dusky walk down historic Main Street rounds out what was a blessing of an evening thanks to this local gem with fresh homemade Jamaican cusine. Highly recommended for quality of food, professionalism of service and comprehensive experience. I remain grateful.
Phenomenal atmosphere and cuisine!! This guy gets how to run a restaurant and keep clientele coming back. The food, amazing; the oxtail in particular was the star of the night. Pair it with the house made ginger beer and you're gonna have a great meal.

James is truly a burger artist. I had the best bacon cheeseburger I've ever had. He even cut all the pieces of bacon to 2 inch slices and crosshatched them so the bacon didn't get pulled out on every bite. We will definitely be back. Also, Get a chocolate malt, you won't regret it! We will Def be back. We only come into this part of town to get our dog groomed at fairy tail grooming LLC, so we will start coming here every time we bring him there.
You know how sometimes you just want that hole in the wall burger experience....Well , this was that and then some. The food was well seasoned with large portions. Our server Becky kept us smiling.
Homer's classic was easily the best burger I've had in the Leavenworth and even greater Kansas City area. Apple pie ala mode was also excellent. Service was very fast, friendly and professional. The inside doesn't appear to have been redecorated in several decades, but I love classic diner charm!
