Went in to try the iconic grasshopper. We were seated right away at the bar and were able to order with ease. The bartender even served us the remaining extra from our drinks. As someone that loves mint and chocolate, this drink was incredible. We loved that they had memorabilia on display from the previous location. While we were only here briefly, it was enjoyable!
I went to Tujague's with my wife on our very first night in New Orleans. I was excited to try a grasshopper cocktail at the place it was invented, and also to try their turtle soup because I've never had turtle before. Our server was Amaya and she was a perfect server. Great personality, got everything right, and was always there when we needed her. We ordered the following dishes: Starters: Mushroom gnocchi, turtle soup Entrees: Pan seared scallops, Pan seared duck Dessert: Bread pudding with banana rum sauce Cocktails: Whistle Pig Sazerac, Grasshopper Everything was fantastic! What we noticed consistently across the board was that the chef is a master at sauces. The sauce over the gnocchi was so incredible I'm going to have dreams about it for months! Overall, we were so happy with the food and the ideal experience. It was well worth the price and such a great introduction to New Orleans cuisine. The cost for the meal was ~$100 per head. Pro Tip: Don't be afraid to burn through that bread and ask for more. You'll need something to mop up the sauce after you finish each dish! The bread is actually very light and fluffy.
Loved their Gumbo Du Jour & superb Seafood Pasta with a glass of Pinot Grigio! Excellent fine-dining service! Will be back for more!

We went here on Sunday for the Drag Brunch. Living in New Orleans we sometimes take things for granted and not appreciating all there is to offer us. That’s why when having company from out of state we venture out on some new activities. This brunch was a definitely a good time! We were a party of four and made reservations about 10 days prior to our company coming. Seating was a little difficult because tables are on the outer sides of each room so the person with their back to the isle, walkway, doesn’t have the best view and this seat doesn’t have a back to the chair. We were probably some of the oldest people there for sure so this detail may not be a huge deal for most. We ordered a craft of Bellini's, they could have been a little sweeter- and an Expresso martini that I was told was pretty good. Food; appetizer was the fried green tomatoes. Theses would have tasted nicer if the tomatoes were cut thinner. Entrees two orders of chicken and waffles, crab cake with poached egg and salmon with zucchini. The chicken and waffles were pretty dry. More syrup was needed and our table wasn’t the only table asking. The crab with poached egg was nice except there is a lot of breading to the crab cake. I didn’t enjoy the red sauce that it was on top of. However the egg was done perfectly. The salmon entree was much enjoyed by this guest and I was jealous I hadn’t ordered that. No one ordered dessert except a double expresso. We were all quite full……. Portions were plenty adequate. The wait staff were very friendly, attentive and eager to be accommodating. Now for the main reason for our visit to The Country Club. The performers were a lot of fun to watch and very engaging….. if you wanted to be.. Very impressive that a few of these performers were so flexible. 3 performers and two numbers each changing costumes in between. So much fun and very enjoyable. We will be bringing our guests here again. Thanks for being such a memorable experience!
This place was truly magical! An experience unlike any brunch I've ever been to. Some of the food is exceptional. Some is just good, but the overall experience is wonderful! I would highly recommend the crab cakes and the mac and cheese in the starters. The chicken and waffles leaves something to be desired, the chicken is very very thin so it's a little tough for my taste, and the short ribs and eggs was actually steak and eggs. My friend ordered it waiting for that fall apart. Goodness, but then just kind of left the meat and ate the eggs and gravy which were absolutely delicious. The bloody Marys are solid as are the other cocktails we had! The service was top notch and the show was so much fun! They also go around to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries to make your day a little extra special.
Came here for drag brunch with a group of six during a bachelorette party (like so many others). Aaron was our server and he was so fun and attentive! There is a minimum that each guest order at least one entree or two apps, which seems totally fair given how popular the event is. Personally I was happy for this minimum because it meant tons of food on the table for me to try! On the table we had crabcake and egg, fried green tomatoes, polenta and eggs, shrimp & grits, chilaquiles, and bacon. I loved my shrimp and grits but I think the chilaquiles was the star. Every poached egg was perfect- an important test for any place touting their brunch. For drinks we had carafes of bellinis and espresso martinis! As a former restaurant manager, I was so impressed with the timing and flow of the brunch. The hosts, emcee, servers and performers all seemed to have a solid rhythm to make for the best guest experience (ie food dropped off before the show started, etc). I would def come here again!

Open air dining across from court, but beware the upstairs balcony seating is at a serious angle. Seafood pasta was a mixed bag, scallops cooked perfectly, but picked shells out. Ravioli was a hit! Excellent attentive service.
While it may seem a bit cramped inside, once you're sitting, it's just fine. The food was fantastic, and they'll do their best to accommodate allergies. The service was awesome. Our server made sure we had full drinks, extra napkins, and any little extras we needed. She was able to recommend drinks and give descriptions of the food to help us decide. They have a full bar and lots to choose from on their menu (both food and drink menus). Parking is tough because of the location, but you may be able to find it on the street. Or find a parking lot nearby, but be prepared to walk there. It's worth it.
Great corner spot in Nola where they have some of the freshest raw oysters without the acme hype.. Sit at the bar and enjoy a fresh cocktail or abita on top. Staff is super friendly and atmosphere is great.. On a nice day the band is out front playing all day and they also have outdoor above seating!

The food was amazing. Great atmosphere. The bartenders were wonderful. Our waitress had a horrible personality. The computers went down and she told us “you will just have to wait”. After asking her for an update SEVERAL TIMES I told her we have to go; our car is waiting. She threatened to call the cops. Finally a manager came and took our credit card info to process later, (without a discount of any kind). My son works in the restaurant industry and said the whole thing was over the top and should have involved a discount and a manager earlier in the process. Update: an hour after we got home, a different manager called and said that he was very sorry for the situation and the waitress was very stressed. But then he explained that when they wrote down my credit card number, they wrote it incorrectly and he needed me to clarify my credit card number so that he could bill me for the meal. Again, no discount was offered. ♂️
I went to New Orleans for my birthday trip with friends, and I decided to go to Muriel’s for my birthday dinner and it was the most amazing experience! I love the whole concept of the upstairs. It’s just so cool. I love things like that and the food was amazing. I decided to try the turtle soup because I have never tried turtle before and it was so so so delicious. I also had the drum and the banana pudding. Everything was so tasty. Our server was so nice. I wish I could remember his name but he was so sweet and so attentive I would definitely come back such a beautiful place.
Muriel’s was my favorite dining experience during my entire trip to New Orleans. The staff were fabulous, everyone was friendly and extremely attentive. Everything we ordered was great. I ordered the lamb empanadas and pecan crusted drum. The drum was divine!! My friend got the 3-course option and ordered turtle soup, the drum, and dark chocolate pecan tart were all excellent. Cocktails just okay, but the wine pairings were nicely done. I would absolutely visit here again if I had the chance!!

Excellent place for breakfast! The amount of food served is insane! Don't over do it! The pancakes are the size of the plate! Grits and eggs were perfect. This restaurant is clean and the bathrooms are immaculate! Our server was kind and helpful... zero complaints!
Huge plate of food. Truly delicious. I had the fried ham plate with three sides. Staff could not have been more pleasant. When you enter, you place your order and pay for your meal. Then you have a seat at one of their many tables. The wait staff for the table comes and takes you receipt and brings the meal to your table. The wait staff were so attentive with drink refills, napkins and anything else you may need. Would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in town.
This restaurant has been around since 1938. Very good red beans and rice. I also had the ham po boy sandwich which was excellent. I got the pecan pie for dessert. My wife had the bread pudding and she really enjoyed it. Everything was delicious and served quickly. Staff was friendly and helpful even though they were extremely busy.

Dined at Compere Lapin for brunch during Eras tour weekend. We had a reservation, but arrived early. We had a drink at the bar while waiting for our table - and the host was gracious enough to seat us early. Service was very polite and accommodating. Loved the decor and open kitchen (was excited to see top chef Nina working with the staff!). Also appreciated the Taylor decorations and themed dish names - such a fun touch! The Youareonyourown shrimp and grits was phenomenal - the best that we had our whole trip! The coconut grits were perfectly creamy and the creole sauce had a little spice that was great with the shrimp. Thank you, NOLA for the southern hospitality and fantastic food!
Food was not great. We ordered the hush puppies (flavourless but the sauce was good). We ordered the Fried chicken and catfish. No idea how you can make fried chicken bad but the flavour was just very very sweet without any other seasoning or herbs (not hot and sweet, not salty and sweet, not garlic all and sweet… just sweet)
This restaurant was for sure a hidden gem for me. I wasn't sure what to expect when I got there, but the food ended up being some of the most flavorful, unique dishes I had during my visit to New Orleans. The service was also great with the staff staying very attentive. I highly recommend two dishes. The jerk pork first course, and the fried chicken second course. The fried chicken is not what you would normally expect from fried chicken. It was smothered in a sauce, juicy, hot (temperature), crispy, bursting with flavor. The jerk pork was tender, juicy, flavorful. All the dishes were well balanced. We also got the hush puppies starter and the biscuits starter. They were good but nothing I have not had before, I might skip them next time to save room for desert instead. Overall highly recommend this place 10/10

Wow, this place is amazing! They have the best service and everyone is incredibly nice. They start the experience by two doormen opening up to the host station where you promptly greeted again. They take you to your table through the kitchen where everyone greets you. Our dinner service had a very attentive wait staff that couldn’t have been nicer. Then there was the food. Every dish we ordered was fantastic and so we ended up with a 3-hour dining experience. This one you definitely need to to check it out!!
Upon walking to our table, every employee we passed said welcome to us! We ordered off the 2024 Eras tasting menu and it was literally sole of the best food of my life. The tasting menu was a little intimidating as I’m not too well versed with seafood but I trusted our server, Silky, and could not be happier with each and every dish. We didn’t think they could get better and it was such a flavorful and exciting dinning experience. Our server Silky was AMAZING (hope her manager sees this!!) she gave us a tour of the wine cellar and kitchen after dinner and really took care of us. Highly recommend this place! Will be coming back!
Loved loved loved this place! Such a great vibe and experience. The food was excellent as well as the service. We went during brunch hours. Make sure you have a reservation and given theres a slight dress code. We were given a three course meal which was hard to choose from. I wanted to try it all. Must go especially if you’re a visiting New Orleans *chefs kiss

Food was amazing! Staff was amazing! Decor is amazing! The garden outside where the turtles that go on parade live is super cute and it smells phenomenal! We went for brunch and got different variety of eggs Benedict and all were so yummy! Also the bananas foster is a must try! They came up with it and do it the best for sure as you would expect! It was my birthday and they made it super special! Got a piece of yummy cake with cotton candy on top all home made and tasting wonderful! And a cute apron to go with it! Staff is great. Tells you the whole history if you want to hear it and it is quite a special place! Definitely will be going back!
This place is amazing! It was the perfect restaurant for brunch! The gumbo was delicious and they have wonderful sparkling rose. It didn't feel touristy at all and we met some very nice locals at the bar. The staff was professional. Our bartender gave us a history lesson and he made the best Bananas Foster that I've ever had. The decor was beautiful and they had a piano that was playing by itself which was pretty cool. Apparently, they give u a huge amount of cotton candy on a plate if you go on your birthday. We would definitely go back. It was a great experience! Check out my full review on Youtube: How to live like a local in New Orleans Parks Bowman Haunted House - Halloween Ghost Music Art Food
The service was spectacular! They knew we were there for our anniversary, and they served us a complimentary glass of champagne with our meal! All the workers who passed our table said, "Happy Anniversary." The eggs Benedict was delicious, and the Banana Foster was very tasty too. Great atmosphere with wonderful service. We loved every minute of it!!

We started our summer visit to New Orleans with a meal at this restaurant and it was a fantastic experience. The service was excellent from the moment we walked in. The staff was very welcoming and particularly attentive to our dietary restrictions for spiritual reasons, making sure that everything we ordered was prepared according to our needs. This attention to detail was a standout, unlike any other place we visited during our stay. What made the service even more unique was the specialization of the staff, for instance they had a specific waiter just for desserts. The food was exceptional every appetizer, main course and dessert was delicious. Although it was the most expensive restaurant we dined at in New Orleans, the overall experience was thoroughly enjoyable and very accommodating. Highly recommend for a great dining experience!
We had a great dining experience here! The service was top-notch and the food was delicious, fully justifying the prices. It's a great spot to enjoy a quality meal, with both the service and cuisine meeting our expectations. We left feeling satisfied and would definitely recommend it to others.
We received two separate recommendations from people living in New Orleans that said we needed to try August. It did not disappoint. We also happen to be there for restaurant week, so of course, we tried the restaurant week menu. Everything was amazing. Very creative presentation, delicious food, and amazing flavor combinations From the compressed cantaloupe wrapped in serrano ham to the stripped sea bass, everything was amazing. The atmosphere is classy and perfect for a date night. The staff is very courtesy and informative. If you're visiting, this is a place you should stop if you want a classy dining experience just outside the French Quarter
