What an amazing place! BEST breakfast buffet in Owensboro Ky! They had SO many options on and off of the buffet! They have chocolate biscuits!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND They also have the cutest little souvenir shop with sooooo many things!
Great breakfast. The breakfast buffet was delicious. We had a server named Gaylynn who was the best. Busy but never affected the food or quantity available. They have a really cool gift shop also. Great experience.
Went here on Saturday with my hubby. I had the Pancake platter and an Iced Caramel Latte. The Latte was delicious. And the pancakes were a homemade batter (not frozen) So good....

Had a weekend trip to Owensboro and had someone recommend this place. So we stopped in, in casual clothes, sans reservation. Though they were busy (looked like Prom night) they fit us in immediately. Friendly staff, great service. Food was excellent, and quickly prepared. The Bourbon collection, in the basement bar was impressive.
We used to love this place. However, the food was very disappointing. I got the fried catfish. It was soggy and tasted freezer burned. Must have been frozen. My husband got the ribeye. Super thin and very fatty. Wine selection is poor. Since covid, its nit the same.
I had the Steak Manhattan special for the day and it was fantastic. Wifey had the shrimp and grits that was very good. We were seated in basement bar area and it was quite an enjoyable atmosphere and nice and cool on a hot summer day. Service was excellent. This old mansion was very well restored and repurposed for a special dining experience and it did not disappoint. We will be sure to come back.

Made reservations and so glad we did. The food is beyond awesome! The service was great! Honestly you can't go wrong trying Bistro out.
Great spot for lunch. We went to Green River Distillery for a tasting and stopped in for some lunch afterward. We ordered the Spanikopita, Italian sausage grinder, and Italiano Grinder. We highly recommend the Famous Bistro! The Old Fashioneds were very tasty as well.
Literally the best food I've had the pleasure of eating. Large portions will leave you stuffed, but the food itself will have you dreaming about it until your next visit here. The steak was to die for!

More worried about filling the place up then they are the quality of food. Quality has sure gone down over the years. I'm glad I added pepper to my mac and cheese so when I stirred it up I found the hair hiding. And they the mac and cheese comes individually packaged by the way (they said) so it's not made fresh, but if so how did the hair get there.. this can happen to any restaurant but I left there with a $50 tab even though they know there's hair in their food. Could have comped the meal that's what would have happened in the good old days..
Best Texas Roadhouse I have been to. I have eaten here many times and every single time the food and service has been excellent. The only knock I could say is that the restaurant is a madhouse because it is so popular but that is what tends to happen when you produce a good plate. Steaks are always cooked perfectly, burgers are nice size and juicy and both the fried pickles and rattlesnake bites are fried just right. I tend to sit in the bar area due to the overall crowd at the restaurant and the service there is just as good if not better.
Great steaks, at a reasonable prices. We both had the Filet Mignon, and 1 onion appetizer. This location really has its processes down. Everything was fast, excellent, hot, delicious, as well as friendly. They were extremely busy, and did an excellent job!! Very well run location.

We understand you have to wait extra time for blackened chicken, but you were making our food for 15+ minutes just to smash our boxes and get them all nasty. Definitely disappointed. And they forgot our blackened ranch
Ordered 2 sandwich basket meals. Fries were cold. We waited what seemed like an abnormally long time for the food, but the chicken sandwiches were fresh, so worth the wait for those. Also added on a biscuit, which was Luke warm. We had another person with us that ordered a chicken 2 piece meal separately, and their biscuit was so hot they had to let it cool down to eat...so we may have just been unlucky. The front counter person seemed to have been fairly new as well, which may have contributed to longer wait times (which is understandable). Just really disappointed in cold fries after such a long wait.
Placed 2 separate to go orders inside. That was a struggle to say the least. They fixed my first order and let it sit. After about a 10 minute struggle making my second order they boxed up my second order except one spicy breast. Said I would have to wait on one piece of chicken. I was there roughly 30 minutes when I finally got out of there and when I got home I discovered my 2 breast had turned into thighs. They were the only hot food in my 2 orders. Never again!!!

What a great buffet meats, salad bar, soup bar and dessert bar. Kids were 1/2 off. Great ice tea we were full when we left.
The food is always great. They've got one of the best southern spreads around. The sweet tea was perfect. My only complaint was that every single plate was chipped. I don't want to eat off of chipped plates.
Oh my goodness! Tonight I ordered the combination meat dinner and I chose brisket, bbq chicken, and ribs as my meats with fried potatoes and coleslaw. It was phenomenal! Loved everything. I paid $17 for my meal not including the drink. Well worth it and I have plenty of leftovers for tomorrow.

For a Sunday at lunch time we were happy to be seated immediately. Noticed the new menus right away. Spinach dip was good as usual, it's not a huge portion but enough for 2 people to share before a meal and it is inexpensive. I tried the shrimp and grits which were fairly priced at 9.99. Husband got surf n turf with fries and really enjoyed the shrimp. He described The chicken strips as average and catfish as mediocre. Our waitress was very nice but they must have had her serving tables on the other side of the restaurant as well because anytime she left for anything she was gone quite a long time.
This was a last minute decision and the food was really good. The service was great!
Walked in at 8p. They close at 10p. I sat at bar and by 8:15 the dinner crowd had left, 3 tables left. I was basically ignored rest of night so staff could close down. I finished my meal at 9:10 due extremely slow service because everyone was focused on closing the restaurant. I was last customer there at 910p. I had to ask for Thursday night football to be turned on one tv. Other bar tv had pbs on. SPORTS BAR?!? O’Charlie’s, get your act together!!! I left tx rd hse at 745 because bar was full/no seats and game was on.

I had such an amazing experience here. It was my first time visiting the restaurant and my first time in town. I was told this restaurant had the best beef brisket in the area and they weren't wrong. This place was incredible. The beef brisket was great. The baked beans were amazing. The coleslaw was fantastic. They had local craft beers. I had an IPA beer from Sixth and it was delicious. The service was absolutely phenomenal. I'm definitely coming back here on my next trip.
If you're looking for a piece of history serving up great food this is the place. This restaurant has a very inviting and unique atmosphere about it, from walking in the foyer to being seated it felt very home like. The service here was stellar and the food was just the same! We made it just in time to still indulge in the lunch buffet. For 15$ we experienced all you can eat BBQ with all the fixings. They had a decent variety of meats including pulled pork, mutton, BBQ pork and ribs. They had all your classic southern sides like potatoes, Mac and cheese, green beans, rolls and cornbread among others. They had a few desert options as well. The BBQ was great and for $15 you really can't beat an all you can eat. Definitely recommend stopping through and experiencing it for yourself.
I’m visiting from Spokane Washington and we have some really good bbq places to eat at, but none of them can compare to this place (Moonlite) bbq. Everything about this place was at its absolute best and beyond. The server we had (Peggy) was a first rate waitress and along with polite demeanor she is getting special attention! She was very helpful when recommending things to try, and even bought me a sample(which I’ve never had before )of mutton to try. It was absolutely fantastic and certainly not what I was expecting when she allowed me to try it. I had a different expectation based misinformation I received from a friend back home . I tried everything that Moonlite BBQ had to offer and enjoyed it all, with the exception of dessert because I didn’t leave any space for it, but before I leave to go home I’ll be going back and trying what they have and take some for the long drive back home! I was even giving a tour of the place , a shirt, a staff hat lol, and even a honorary pit master certificate! So to anyone that reads this review and you are in Owensboro, KY the Moonlite BBQ is one place that i recommend trying because you will not be disappointed! I found out that they have been featured on Food Paradise. Stop in and give them a try!

The food and atmosphere were amazing and Jagger’s recommendations were delicious and exactly what I liked! His customer service with me and the other guest around me put the experience over the top. Some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in sometime. He made an already great experience that much better.!!
A Casual Seafood Restaurant with a River View !! I stopped into Lure during a visit to the riverfront area while in Owensboro. I was craving seafood and decided to give it a try. Lure is a restaurant in the Hilton Hotel serving Fish, Oysters, Pasta, Seafood and a few cuts of meat. The restaurant has a great ambience inside and a few seats available outside for dining. On this visit, I had some fresh and plump oysters followed by the Snow Crab and Lemon Ricotta Ravioli as I was in the mood for pasta. The ravioli was not too drenched in the past sauce and although a little light on the crab meat, they were able to pull off a very good pasta dish. Overall a great meal, a little on the pricy side due to it being a hotel restaurant and right on the river downtown but the food was fresh and made very well.
As a luxury hospitality consultant who travels and trains service professionals for a living, I confidently believe my eye for service excellence is a believable one. For my very first dining experience in Owensboro, this was truly a treat. Location is ideal, corner of the Hampton Inn, walking distance to the convention center, and convenient to the river waterfront. I was warmly welcomed the second I walked through the revolving door. The restaurant team was genuine with greeting me and getting me seated promptly after asking if I prefer an inside or outdoor option. The decor inside was lovely but the weather today was perfect, so I chose outside. A young man gathered and presented me with menus, and brought me to my preferred cozy corner spot said Elise will be right with you shortly. Witnessed many tables occupied and enjoying themselves. A shaded patio, soft tasteful music playing on the speaker, views of the water and others enjoying the environment, and a gentle breeze. Elise was the reason I decided to dine at Lure for lunch. Earlier today, I was walking the riverwalk and noticed a happy crowd on the patio. When you see both a server and guests smiling, it’s not always common to see these days. She made me feel welcomed even as a single diner. She made great menu suggestions, was timely, kept my water full, and offered me a to go box (and a to go bag!) and invited me to stay and enjoy the weather. As an observation, she proved consistent, kind service to every table she touched. I always say delight is in the details. She and her team seem to be excellent ambassadors of your brand. Only suggestion I can share is add a side salad to the menu. I enjoyed the crabcake Benedict, for my personal portion size I made it into 2 meals. I would have ordered a single crab cake with a fresh side salad. Absolutely enjoyable. I’ll be back for more next time work brings me to town. Elise also spoke highly of the restaurant owner and share they have a few other restaurants in town. Because of this lunch experience, I would intentionally choose to return and try the other restaurants this ownership offers. She asked me to write a review because it means a lot. Without hesitation, I’m writing in hopes this helps show love to a local owned establishment doing it right. Wishing you all continued success. Thank you very much! Sunny regards, Kylie Rae

My wife & I ate here coming back to Tennessee last Tuesday. Asentha was an EXCELLENT waitress which made our experience special. She was the type of lady that should be training others.
Hubby and I dined here Saturday for the very first time. As longtime patrons of Texas Roadhouse I have to admit it was hard to get me to try a new steakhouse. But I loved it. Great atmosphere. Texas Roadhouse is a happy kind of chaotic. Not bad at all, but chaotic in a way. Longhorn had a chatty conversational atmosphere. A more refined, but not stuck up aura. The prices are a little higher. Not enough to be a deal breaker. Our server, Tavey, was awesome. Attentive, friendly, a real gem. The food was AMAZING! The steak, lobster, Mac and cheese, potatoes, EVERYTHING were amazing. The mixed drinks were a little too expensive, we won't be doing those again, but they WERE great, and they didn't water down the drinks. We will definitely be back. Fantastic place to eat.
Our meal was delicious. Service was excellent too
