Bristol Bar & Grille Highlands - Louisville

Went here for the Father’s Day brunch! Loved being greeted by live music when I came in, the saxophone player was a nice addition to the scenery. The food itself was fantastic and plentiful, really liked the cinnamony crispy fruity dish they had and the sausage links were delicious! Loved all the protein options, I had a fried chicken thigh, but the fish looked great too. The fruit table in the middle had some great pineapple and melon, and the dessert table was also packed with good stuff. The buffet line could have been organized a little better – the line started back where the waffles were, but the plates weren’t until after the waffle station. It’s awkward to reach between people in line to get a plate, then get back into the line to wait for the waffles if you want them. Also, the staff were constantly having to navigate between customers in line, requiring us to navigate with them in response. I don’t fault the staff for that! But maybe just more clearly delineated signs and/or instructions and plate placement would improve the experience. The service was top-notch, our server kept our drinks filled and was very attentive, which was impressive given that she was also bartending! Definitely tip your servers well folks, they work very hard and do a great job. Great place to take the family for brunch! A little on the pricier end but worth it for a special occasion.
