Vera Mae's Bistro - Muncie

My wife and I enjoy trying new places and we decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary here at Vera Mae’s Bistro. Had a great time – it was warm enough to sit outside and there was only one other table occupied but was vacated before we got our food so it was like we had a private place all to ourselves, which was fun. The dinner rolls that came out while we were waiting for our main course were average, but still good. After that everything steadily improved and provided an elevated experience worthy of a celebration. Salad was fresh, dressing was good, and starting with French onion soup, the food was very tasty and fun to eat. We both got different chicken dishes, and they were something to go back for. Presentation was nice and we had fun evening together. We both ordered creme brulee for dessert and it was actually a little different flavor than we expected but made well and we loved it. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, which was expected at this level of venue, but doesn’t always happen these days so that was nice. Overall, this is a great value for the cost. This doesn’t necessarily fit our frugal food budget but for a celebration meal this was very well worth the cost. Definitely check out Vera Mae’s Bistro!
