Best Restaurants Open for Thanksgiving Dinner this year in Lexington – 2024

It was all very good. Fun experience and stellar service. The cold bar was like nothing I've seen. The meat wasn't my favorite part of the meal. Come hungry, but don't fill up on the mash or fries they bring. They stuck us in a side room at a table for two and we had to juggle plates and glasses every time they brought something and there were only a few other tables occupied. That was the only real negative. All beef if rare/med-rare so if that's not your preference, you may not like it. It was cool to go there once, but I would probably only go back with a larger group.

Wanted to bring my husband here for our 11th anniversary. The place is beautiful, and the staff are beyond perfection. The knowledge and great suggestions made the experience better. I unfortunately have a medical condition that cut our dinner short, but I will remember this place and tell everyone to treat themselves to a phenomenal food experience at its finest. The meat was made just right and tender and you have to get the Sangria.

The food was great! I liked the salad bar and dessert option. However, we didn’t get to taste all the meat they had because we were ignored by some of the meat servers. It was like they just skipped us. We were seated in front of the bar which was like a blind spot. We will definitely go back and choose a different table.

Excellent experience here. Great atmosphere. Outstanding food and service. Ended up getting the Red Rock Bison Burger. Very cool themed restaurant. A must see in Lexington.

I've been here twice now thanks to being wined and dined by a company interested in hiring me. I will honestly say that their choices of where they take me has had a huge impact in recruiting me. This place played a part in it. The service the first time I was there was spectacular. The 2nd time wasn't as great, but I averaged out the two times for this review. The food, however, is why I gave them 5 stars. Everything there is delicious. Granted, it's pricy, so it's not in my regular rotation. I enjoyed every second I spent in this place, though! The first time I was there, I had the bison brisket. The second time I had the bison meatloaf. Both were spectacular and came with two sides. My husband had the bison filet, and I almost made him switch meals with me. There's so much food, so plan on taking some home. It heats up wonderfully for a 2nd awesome meal!! The sides are delicious. I had mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. The sprouts are seasonal (and ungodly awesome) but the potatoes are always on the menu. I could make a meal of just the mashed potatoes. They're so good. I didn't have room for dessert, but they have a good selection. I had the bison nachos as an appetizer, and it was great! The entrees just overshadow the appetizers so much on deliciousness that I had to write about them first. It's important to note that their drinks are extra yummy due to their ice. I love love love their ice with ice tea or a soft drink!

This place is great!! If you stop by the Lexington, KY location, make sure you have Chloe as your waitress. She is so patient and kind. As if she serving her own family. Very attentive and ensuring everyone has exactly what they needed. If she ever leaves, this will be an asset you’ll never get back. You need to double or even triple her salary.

Our waitress was great, but she rushed us. I ordered a bottle of wine and only had one glass because the waitress came to our table and after taking our plates she took the wine a put it in a sealed bag. The food was spot on delicious. We had a coupon for the bacon in a glass, but she neglected to take it off the check. It was delicious and I ate the entire glass. The old fashioned flight was adorable and tasty! My salad was amazing!

This was a great experience. Our group of 8 had reservations for dinner. It was a busy Saturday but we had no problem getting seated on time. Once seated, we scanned the provided tablet to look at the various cocktails. You could also scan a QR code to see the drink menu on your phone, which was nice. The drinks came out quickly andl of us enjoyed our drink selections very much. After drinks were served, we gave our meal choices to the waitress. As I said, it was a busy night and our meals came out so quickly that we all couldn't believe it. It was great since we're all quite hungry after a busy day wandering around. Anyhow, all the meals were great as well as the appetizers. The whole thing was made even better with the very attentive and talented service staff. After dinner we discovered that you could purchase bottles of bourbon directly from the restaurant so we peruse their list of bottles. A couple of us bought some to take home which made us extra happy. I recommend this place thoroughly!

Food was delicious, probably the best shrimp and grits in town! The food overall is a bit salty causing you to need a ton of hydration after. But the service was good and the ambiance of the place was nice. Definitely a good date spot.

This place is great no matter what you get. A few weeks ago I had the banana pudding French toast for brunch. Today I had the buffalo chicken grilled cheese for lunch. Both of my visits have been outstanding to say the least. I can just tell these guys know what the hell they’re doing when they get in the kitchen so if you are a foodie like me this is the place to be. If the weather is good like it was today, you can grab a seat on the patio and enjoy the sun! Check it out…… you will not be disappointed!

Whew!! Talk about a diamond in the ruff. This place is phenomenal… from customer service to the atmosphere and the food, you won't be disappointed. Come here and you'll leave Happy and Full!!! We went here for my birthday brunch and it was absolutely amazing. We will definitely be coming back. This was my first experience eating here and what a great experience it was. Lots of menu options.

I don't do a ton of Google reviews but after looking through all of the reviews and eating at this establishment myself, I can wholeheartedly say: This place deserves so so so so so so much praise. From atmosphere, hospitality and attention to detail. The two gentlemen who Assisted us (Pierre and Nick?) were very knowledgeable of the menu and funny. Now, the parking is rough, but what else would you expect from a small business in Lexington? I work in the food business and this place blows my expectations out of the water. These people care for their guests and patrons, as apparent to how they respond to everyone's review with a genuine want to correct any issues. I can't sing this places praises enough. Whenever I'm back in Lexington, I am coming back with everyone I know. Thank you guys for the amazing place.

Everything about the Merrick Inn was fantastic, from the moment we walked up to the entrance to the bar area and dining room. The service was really good but the food was the star of the show. I had the chicken and waffles and that was some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. The Mrs tried the French toast and it was delicious. The couple with us tried the omelette which was perfectly cooked and the shrimp and grits were done of the best they had ever had! All in all it was a great choice and we will go back again for the Sunday fried chicken.

Merrick provided an awesome dining experience! The drinks,apps, and entrees were all very well prepared. Service was attentive, and we really enjoyed the covered outdoor patio!

Staying in Lexington overnight and found this wonderful restaurant on Trip Advisor (good at finding the best restaurants). Loved the heirloom tomatoes and the Kentucky Hot Brown. Both absolutely delicious. We split the heirloom tomatoes and should have split the Kentucky Hot Brown. Lovely restaurant, great service from Nathan and nice atmosphere.

Spectacular ambiance. Set in a high-ceiling room in what seems to have been a space designed and used by an old style bank, the eclectic artistic decor is well twinned with the delectable offerings. We ordered the lockbox share board, and that country classic, biscuits with gravy. The board came with pimento cheese and deviled egg spreads, country ham, house pickles, crackers and biscuits. We shared it all and savored every bite with some well-brewed fresh coffee. Very attentive staff. A pricey indulgence for breakfast, but certainly well worthwhile. Enjoy!

The Lock Box Breakfast ; 10/10 The Pancakes ; 10/10 My friend got the Warm Griddled Banana Bread with the Crispy Potatoes. 10/10 The scrambled eggs I got with the breakfast meal was out of this world. The sausage was delicious & the crispy potatoes were on point with the seasoning. I couldn't have been more pleased with everything. If you're trying to find a nice spot to have breakfast with the girls or for a date // LOOK NO FURTHER. Beautiful atmosphere & amazing staff. Our waiter was very timely and professional. I will be looking forward to our next trip to Lexington because this will be our go to spot from now on.

Good was exquisite. The cocktail menu had too many amazing drinks to choose from. We decided to share our food amongst the table, and I would highly recommend doing this to ensure that we try all the delicious offerings. We loved our slow-paced dinner and plan to visit again soon.

A true college dive. The burger was good...the French fries were really good. You enter and go to the kiosks to place your order, then go to the pick-up counter where they yell out your name. There were tables scattered around the establishment, which did have a large seating area. It's one of those places that was the only place open late, and we were starving for something to eat, and this place is open. When ordering on the kiosk, it asks for a tip, press custom tip and enter zero if you want to bypass paying an automatic 15%.

Its a college food joint with a mid menu. The kiosk asks for tips even though your only interaction with an employee is getting your name yelled. They have Halal options wich is rare. Their drink menu is good if you like weird sodas. Its a college dive. It does its job. Dont tip the robots.

Gave this place a couple chances (ordered via DoorDash) and both times were very disappointing. Most recently we ordered chicken sandwiches because we assumed those would be pretty hard to mess up. These were actually the worst ones we’d ever had. The side fries were way too overpriced for the portion / quality you get. They forgot our sauces we paid extra for both times. I’d never recommend this place.

We came here for my birthday celebration. This was much better than expected! The food was fresh and delicious. The recommendation from our server was spot on. For starters we had the grilled Brie and for the entree I had the Carson’s fried chicken and it was chef’s kiss! I did have to take the remainder home since it was a big portion for me. I will definitely return! By the way it’s always recommended to make a reservations in advance to ensure you have the best dining experience and not being turned away for overcapacity or wait time.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and the food is delicious. For guests who prefer not to eat raw ingredients, there are thoughtfully prepared fully-cooked sushi roll options, which are not only considerate but also very tasty. The service staff seemed a bit busy, so it took a moment to get their attention, but they were very polite and accommodating. I had a sudden craving for plain rice, so I asked if they could bring me some. I later realized they don’t usually fulfill this type of request because they brought me a bowl of sushi rice

Awesome spot , can’t believe I haven’t gone here before. Decor is fire inside, was pleasantly surprised. I cannot recommend it enough but GO TO THEIR HAPPY HOUR! Drinks AND food on the happy hour menu, and everything was amazing. We got 4 drinks total , all tasted delightful and presentation was a good touch! Everyone was very kind , and attentive literally was like service 101 I had the Lion King Roll , really tasty! A very nice meal at a very nice establishment. Definitely a recommendation if you’re at The Summit.
