Called them same day and they were able to squeeze us in at 8:30 on Friday night. Nice, casual atmosphere overlooking the clam flats. Service was good and we enjoyed our dinner. The arugula salad with baked goat cheese was very good.
The Chart Room: A Feast for the Eyes, a Famine for the Taste Buds Nestled along the picturesque coast, The Chart Room lures you in with its stunning ocean views and promises of a fine dining experience. Unfortunately, once you take a seat and crack open the menu, the magic starts to fade faster than a cheap summer tan. Let's talk about the lobster bisque, a concoction that tastes like it was ladled straight from the mop bucket. Imagine dishwater with a hint of seafood regret. It's the kind of soup that makes you wonder if the chef accidentally dropped the lobster into the sink and decided to just roll with it. The main courses were a journey through culinary mishaps. The chicken arrived looking like it had spent more time sunbathing than in the oven. One bite, and you might find yourself developing a newfound appreciation for fully cooked poultry. Salmonella roulette, anyone? Then there was the pork shoulder, which must have taken a detour through the fiery depths of Mordor. Charred beyond recognition, it was a tragic tribute to what was once a piece of meat. If you like your pork with the texture of burnt offerings and the flavor profile of a campfire, this one's for you. In the end, The Chart Room is a restaurant for those who value scenery over sustenance. Go for the view, stay for the laughs, but eat elsewhere unless you enjoy culinary disasters served with a side of disappointment. Bon appétit, or should I say, better luck next time!
Disappointing all around. We made reservations on Tuesday for Saturday dinner at 7:00pm. Our table was the worst in the place. Watching servers run back and forth by our table did not make for a relaxing evening. At that early hour they were out of clam chowder and the dinner special. Chose lobster bisque instead. The lobster was good but the base was vinegary and not creamy bisque at all. Main courses were meh. The chef does not seem to know how to bring out the best in food combinations. My husband had a pork chop served with black beans and a few peaches. Very bland. I had swordfish served with chick peas and a few mussels. Again, very bland. I could have opened a can of chick peas and baked swordfish with the same result. Although my husband is not a trained chef, he fixes much tastier and inventive food pairings than these. Service was slow. Water glasses not filled until the end of dinner. From the time we ordered dessert until it arrived was 30 minutes. Irish coffee was the worst. Lukewarm, watery coffee with maybe Irish whiskey, No taste, no whip cream. Had been wanting to go here for a special occasion but so disappointed.

My first time ever at a Texas Roadhouse. Wow!!! Alex was our amazing server- he was great!!! Food was super delicious!! The rolls were so good. What an experience.
❤️BEST SERVICE❤️ Went there 3 times with my wife in last 6 months. Each time food was very good. Stakes were as per order and never over or undercooked. Very good servers and very very welcoming. I would say one of the best customer service for a sitting Restuarent in near by area.
Nothing special. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good. Service was VERY slow. But we were there an hour anf a half before closing so maybe that had to do with it?

I’m from Jersey and staying at a nearby hotel who recommended I eat here. GREAT SUGGESTION because I love the food, drink and service. I had the orange chicken and ordered melted butter on the side to dip my broccoli in. Very tasty dish and the sauce that goes with the dish was delicious too. I ordered the lemon blueberry tequila drink (I forgot the name) and I am not a tequila drinker, but BABEEE!!!! TOP TIER also. There was plenty of seating but I sat at the bar and watched football. The service was great and my food came out timely and hot. Would definitely recommend.
We always love to try out local brew pubs when traveling. This was our first stop this trip with our large group and could not have been more pleased with the experience. The restaurant was open and airy with a large patio as well. Our waitress was friendly and quick. Every food option we ordered came out as described and we loved all of them. The lobster roll and haddock sandwich were classic Maine, and delicious. Several in the party ordered beer flights and there wasn’t a bad one in the bunch. Can’t wait to go back!!
Visiting the North East for our Honeymoon-iversary. We were very hungry. Sebago was a great choice! When you go ask for Noelle, she was wonderful! Welcoming and giving us the best options on the menu. Tried their Revel Coast Spirited cocktail - grapefruit. Recommend for a quick bite to share. Portion sizes are large!

A very nice spot to start your day. The coffee was good but the sandwich were great. We had Carmel latte, a red storm sandwich, and sausage egg and cheese croissant.
We travel and do YouTube all over the country and Maine is our spot for the Summer…so of corse we gotta find our staple coffee shop as soon as we get in. Found it! Amazing atmosphere, outside patio, the blended coffee is very good, real good, good prices so that we can realistically come daily if we wanted to. Super happy with our experience! Check us out on YouTube - Land Roamers
The staff are so above and beyond nice and kind. This is one of several times I have had a wonderful experience where we’re bantering. The blonde on the register today especially. Food is always relatively quick, and yummy.

First time here, recommended by a coworker. The pizza was excellent! Price to quality is awesome. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu options. It is a small cozy place and has a comfortable feel.
I highly recommend the French onion soup! Everytime I have it, it is perfectly cooked! Drinks are well made and the dinners are portioned accurately. The pizzas are a typical favorite as well.
We recently went back & Pine Point Grill constantly delivers! A very pleasant dining experience. Our waitress Peyton was outstanding! Our only disappointment was we had early reservations, dinner special of baked haddock was gone when we placed our order. We ordered apps local Daramascotta oysters, and they were outstanding. Don't miss the Brussel Sprouts which are a must have shared dish. Mains for most of the table were angel hair scallop & shrimp. All said it was very good. I opted for healthier, citrus salad and added shrimp.

Our family stopped here for a lunch and we were all pleased with our meal. Our waiter was definitely educated on the menu and the different beer flavor profiles. I had the French dip that was good. The rice bowl looked delicious and my step father enjoyed it. The chicken tenders looked very tasty. The beer menu is a lot to choose from but they have many good choices to pick from. I would definitely come back and have food and drinks again when we are in the area again.
Food: enjoyed the Korean and Irish fusion. The double smash burger was dry, condiments were good and the mustard was incredible. Onion rings were five star. The bibimbap was savory and flavorful. The Korean beef was delicious. Would've rated five stars if it had sticky rice, regular rice threw off the balance of the dish. Service: seated right away, server was helpful with choosing dishes but arrogant. The food was ordered and delivered fast. Atmosphere: bathrooms were moderately clean and open, dining area open with a big bar. Nice outdoor patio. Parking limited (strip mall). Prices high - $18 for just a burger (double smash).
We love O’Reillys. Every time we visit the Scarborough Farmer’s Market on Sunday, a visit to O’Reillys (right across the street from the market) is a must. Irish-American food with a Korean flair? That’s O’Reillys. We’ve gone a few times for brunch and have always been very happy. The extensive menu offers light fares, classic breakfast options (like eggs Benedict), and some hearty dishes. The price-to-food ratio is unmatched. Seriously, we ordered their poutine during our last visit, which is listed as an appetizer, and we could barely finish it; it was so yummy! My partner’s go-to is the steak and eggs skillet with tamari marinated steak tips. He says it’s one of the best meals in town. The coffee is always strong (and includes free refills!), and the cocktails are also to die for. Don’t skip the Bloody Mary’s; 10/10. Lastly, the service is always excellent! We’ve had multiple servers who’ve always been so friendly and attentive.

Amazing place! First time in Maine, decided to try something unique and wow we were blown away. Amazing food. Best fish and chips we’ve ever had. The artichoke dip is fantastic. And if it couldn’t get any better our server was the absolute sweetest person. She was attentive , kind and shared the history of the restaurant which is pretty neat. Oh and last thing the food came right out. If we could give this place 10 stars we would.
First time here and it was amazing! Our waiter, Eric, was very informative and had a great personality. The Rueben and Fried Chicken sandwich’s with onion rings were delicious. Cold home brewed beers and atmosphere were great …
The menu selections sounded so good it was so hard to pick. The drinks were made perfect and we will definitely be stopping again when we go back to Maine. We had to buy more beer just to take back with us. We had our service dog with us and he got just as much attention as we did for water and a goodie. The homemade dressing was also excellent. Nothing bad served up here.

Finally made it to the Honeycomb Cafe, and I’m really glad I did! I had no idea this place existed, but now I can’t wait to go back. It reminds me a lot of St. Joe’s in Scarborough, though the portions here are a bit smaller. The space is great — plenty of indoor seating, outdoor tables, and lots of parking too. You order at the counter, and they call out your number, so don’t expect table service. Their breakfast sandwich options are super creative, and everything’s under $10! Can’t beat that. I tried the Casco Bay, and it was delicious. You could really taste each ingredient. My only regret was not adding an extra egg for just 75 cents. That’s another thing I loved about Honeycomb Cafe — no nickel and diming here. The coffee, including iced coffee, was really affordable, and extras like eggs (even vegan eggs!) are just 75 cents. Much respect!
We were in the area for a baseball tournament and fell in love with this cafe. Everything, top down, amazing. Homemade donuts, healthy sandwiches (on homemade breads) as well as indulgent ones (Reuben)- All delicious. We chose the chicken mole special (AMAZING), raspberry glazed donut and the turkey sausage egg sandwich. They were super friendly and accommodating. I had the breakfast burrito open faced.. The Berry smoothies were also a hit. We went back the next day even though we were travelling elsewhere. The honeycomb latte was a treat!!
Friendly barista, great Deans Beans coffee, yummy egg sandwich and very flexible around food allergies. If you’re super gluten free ask to double check the bag as the bagels had barley in them. The place isn’t that big so you might not want to sit and hang out for a long time, but it’s all well done and great quality.

Venturing through Maine on our way to Sebago Lake, we made a delicious stop at El Rayo in Scarborough, and it did not disappoint! We started with the Loaded Tot Nachos—crispy tots topped with crema, melted Monterey Jack cheese, and plenty of jalapeños ️. I just love a good cheese pull and a great take on classic nachos. 7/10 For tacos, we tried a trio: Sweet Potato Taco: Chipotle mayo, corn salsa, veggie slaw, and cotija cheese—sweet meets spicy. 7/10 BBQ Pulled Pork Taco: This was the standout of the night! The pork was perfectly tender and flavorful, topped with veggie slaw, cotija, and red onion escabeche. 9/10 Pescado Taco: Grilled achiote fish, avocado, chipotle mayo, and veggie slaw—a fresh and tasty option!7/10 We also dug into the Steak California Burrito —loaded with papas fritas, Monterey Jack, crema fresca, guac, and house pickled jalapeños. A full, flavorful burrito, perfect if you like it a little saucy! 8/10 We also tried the Surf & Turf Special (shrimp and steak) and they did not skimp out on the meat here 8/10. For dessert, we enjoyed: Coconut Muffin Cake: Packed with coconut flakes—so good! 8/10 Housemade Flan: Rich and creamy. 8/10 Key Lime Pie: Tangy, refreshing, and just what we needed to finish. 8/10 I also appreciated the pineapple salsa (unique and I wish more mexican spots made salsa like this? maybe a salsa flight??), and guacamole paired with the chips for the table—so flavorful! They have another location in Portland too, so definitely worth a visit wherever you are in Maine. Overall: A solid 8/10—definitely worth the stop if you’re heading through the area! Ambiance: 6/10—with some outdoor seating at the Scarborough location. Affordability: 7/10—good prices ($4.95 per taco, $16 for burrito). Perfect for a taco fix on your way to Sebago Lake!
Brought my friend to try it out together, we got the basic steak burrito. She had a Coca Cola with it, and water for myself. The atmosphere inside seemed lovely but we opted to set outside on the patio to enjoy some sun. The servers were up to speed, there was little to no waiting for anything. I had a delicious lunch. The chips and salsa were fresh and amazing!
I’m leaving this criticism with five stars, and with love, because El Rayo is genuinely my favorite burrito place in Maine. So here’s the deal: we LOVED the yucca burrito for years. It recently changed to the plantain burrito and I am NOT mad about it. It’s a great idea. The seasoning is superb. I think both burritos could coexist on the menu but fine, it’s a change. Change can be good. The first plantain burrito I ordered a month ago was ok, but a bit heavy on the plantain. The last burritos that my wife and I ordered for takeout tonight were just over the top. The ratio of plantain to everything else is like 60/40. I like plantain, but not this much. It’s like whole big 2” chunks of plantain, so often I get a bite that’s literally just plantain and tortilla. It’s too much. Please chop it up smaller and homogenize it. It would be SO much better! Or maybe cut the plantain in half lengthwise and just lay it in the burrito as the yucca was? Secondly, there’s pineapple in this thing, so now we are talking more than 60% fruit inside this burrito. Guys, that’s weird. It’s still delicious but it could be better. Okay and last thing is we ordered guacamole and paid extra for it and there was none. (It should come standard, it makes it twice as good). Love you, please consider this constructive criticism. We will be back many many more times.

We were both impressed with our 1st dining experience here. The interior is well designed and goes on forever. From the front of the house to our wait person Darby, menu selections, and kitchen crew, we were beyond happy. We started with that awesome pretzel. Mains were the dunstan burger and wedge salad with the burger side. Both were outstanding meals. By all means, do make an online reservation and try this local must.
Couldn't find any parking in Portland, so we made our way south for some lunch! Large parking lot here! The appetizers were delicious, unfortunately no pics - mussels, lemongrass steak skewers & the pretzel. All top-notch! The server was great, and we were seated immediately. Pictured is the beer battered fish and chips (the fish was fresh and fry was great, but the fries were too greasy from sitting under the fish), hot honey pizza (good, but there was a lot of dough for his taste), & the scallops (they forgot to add the bacon, so it felt like something was missing. For a $30 dish, I really wished they added the bacon!) $4 draft Budweisers, $8 canned Apres hard seltzer
Their name tells it like it is, it's not your full-fledged restaurant, it's mostly bar food. I would've liked more options but I can't blame them for being them. I would've liked a simple garden salad with a choice of dressing but they didn't have that. They did have several kinds of salads but none appealed to me. I got the bacon Mac burger, it was good, just needed more thousand island sauce. The other three in our party liked what they had as well.
