Best Restaurants Open for Thanksgiving Dinner this year in Topeka – 2024

Do not miss this spot if you’re visiting Topeka!! The food was absolutely incredible and the cocktails were very unique and fun as well. Atmosphere was peaceful and soothing and the service was great. So so glad we decided to stop in. It is also in a gorgeous historic building that was cool to see. 10/10 recommend!!!

We have dined at The White Linen five times in the past few months, and each time is better than the last. Tonight, I took my parents for drinks at The Knox Cocktail Lounge and Tapas Tuesday. It was as wonderful an experience as the previous times we've dined here. There is clearly a great attention to detail and a lot of heart put into the dishes and drinks we have enjoyed here. Braden and Giani have been our servers the last two times and both have done an excellent job. Phillip, Sara, and Julio are the mixologists at The Knox. It's fun to watch them mix craft cocktails. The White Linen is truly a fine dining gem in downtown Topeka. I can't say enough good things about the memories we've made here celebrating special occasions or just enjoying, for no particular reason some fantastic food and drinks.

First time here and had a wonderful experience! Reservations are a must. There is a cocktail bar right across from the restaurant. If you get there early, you can have some cocktails while you wait. Let them know your reservation time and they will come and get you when your table is ready. The food was amazing! We had a five course meal and it was heavenly. The service was great! Would recommend to anyone. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it can get pretty warm in the restaurant so dress comfortably, but besides that everything was great!

Fine dining at its finest!!! The weather room is very clean and elegant the staff is very professional and all very well groomed. Britney our waitress was every bit of the word AMAZING, from her professionalism and knowledge of the menu to her personable attitude. The food was beyond delicious and cooked perfectly. We also ordered drinks and I was completely taken back at the presentation and taste. It was almost as if we were at a cocktail lounge were they only focus on drinks and not a restaurant. It is family friendly and wheelchair accessible. Wonderful experience

The restaurant has a nice ambiance, I would say laid back and classy. The food is genuinely unique, my wife had chicken fried lobster, I had your basic KC strip steak. The drinks were tasty, as were the desserts. Our waiter was very courteous and attentive, and the prices were reasonable.

My mother and I stopped in for a light lunch we had French onion soup and brochette bread. The French onion soup was the worst I’ve ever had, sweet taste hardly any onions and WORST of all processed sliced Swiss cheese! Service was fine.

Luis was our server and he was awesome from beginning to end. We came from TN and had to visit The Pennant for the milkshakes and they exceeded expectations. The curly cheesy fries were perfect with the shakes. The atmosphere is fun. Luis went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. I highly recommend!

When we are in Topeka you can bet we're stopping here. They change the menu yearly we learned, I was sad at first but got it over it quickly because it does not matter what they take off the menu, what they add is amazing! Today we sat at the bar and were served by both Tiffany and Mogli. We could not have asked for a better team as they were on it and incredible. These two are a perfect pair for a busy Saturday afternoon evening with football playing and arcade noise kicking. We both did smash burgers, I had the pennant burger, no bun with fries and my husband had the new Philly burger with onion rings. Let me tell you it was fire! The flavors in that burger mesh so we'll, there isn't a thing I'd change with it and he devoured it. I cannot say enough about this spot, we've never been disappointed. Today however was different with Tiffany and Mogli they made our visit incredible! If you have not been do not sleep on this spot!

What a blast! We got turned around passing through Topeka on a road trip, so decided to pull over and stretch our legs. After reading the sign out front we had to check out The Pennant. The burgers (elote and pretzel) were amazing, as were the fries. We picked up a game card and played a few games before hitting the road again. Can’t wait to stop back in on our return trip!

We got there around 8 hoping it wouldn't be too long of a wait which wasn't long at all. The way this building is built makes it way too loud to be able to hear the person sitting across from you, we were seated in a half booth so we couldn't sit next to each other to be able to hear. The table was so small but crowded with menus, condiments, the pay box then add bread basket and plates quickly became too crowded for our dinner plates. Originally I ordered the prime rib, they only serve it on Fri and Saturday so I assumed they would still have some even at 8 due to how late they stay open. They were out so I ordered the ribeye instead. Two baskets of bread later and the food finally came out. The food was cooked perfectly but it did not make it to our table hot. The Mac and cheese was bordering cold the steak and toppings were luke warm but the green beans were so hot they scalded my mouth. I took a big bite thinking they would be cool as well they were not.

Ribeye was great quality and done right per my medium rare order. Servers at bar were very nice and on top of everyone's needs. Price is right!

The first time we had dinner here was amazing. The service was great the staff was very friendly. We loved it so mu h we had dinner here again a couple of weeks later. The best rolls ever and the fried pickles were amazing. My family and I enjoyed our dinner. I would recommend the smothered chicken.

I did a mobile order and it took 45 minutes to get my order. Slowest service ever. Chicken Tenders were like leather (photos). I ordered two bone in wings and received one. It took me over three years to return to this Popeyes because they kept getting confused between an original and spicy chicken sandwich. Long story on that one. But I will never return to this Popeyes. Worst ever.

The worst!!! I ordered a blackened chicken sandwich with bacon, and I got a mayo sandwich with chicken . I don’t really eat mayo. It was so much mayo that I could not convince myself to take a bite. The fries were cold I had to spit them out and my mango lemonade tasted like mango syrup.

They have an amazing wide spread of Pies in the menu. My favourite is Apple Pie . Service is good and friendly. Their food menu looks yummy too. Had their steak before and it’s delicious

My wife ordered scrambled eggs and pancakes on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. I know that companies are at employees mercy since if quality is poor do to employees lack of effort, its hard to fire them because its hard now days to replace employees. But my wife's scrambled eggs was nothing more then hard eggs, nothing scrambled about them. And the pancakes were burnt on the bottoms that it left a terrible taste. A customer ought to to deserve better service then this. And if we sent them back, then others at the table would be finished eating long before we would. When asked at the register if everything was good, we did mention this, but it fell on deaf ears. No one cares. I had the salmon and it was ok.

Great price my go to place for breakfast I took my daughter to breakfast for her 10th birthday our server was ok she forgot a few things we asked for and didn't check on us at all. Checking out the cashier recognize my daughters birthday and gave her a slice of pie and cookie that made up for it all. Overall I enjoy eating here they have no issue with removing meat for us vegetarians. My favorite is the mushroom omelette

I had a late lunch with my daughter here on a weekday for our first visit. So as far as overall atmosphere goes, I can't really speak to that since it was very slow and I don't think I can give you a great feel. However the staff was friendly and attentive. The food: first off, know they will bring you salad and bread sticks before your meal. Think Olive Garden in this way, but I thought the salad and bread sticks were better overall :) I had a grilled chicken pasta dish with sauteed veggies and an almond sauce. My daughter built her own pasta with angel hair and grilled chicken with Alfredo. I have to say, I thought the sauce was a bit bland, BUT I think that Alfredo based sauces are a bit that way anyway, so take that with a grain of salt. I enjoyed my meal and took plenty home! The portion sizes are large and when you add in the salad and bread sticks, you get more than enough. The prices look a bit high, but with the quality of food and ingredients as well as the portion sizes, I didn't feel like I paid too much. Overall we enjoyed our experience. I want to go back and try new items. They have so many good options that it's hard to gauge this restaurant on one visit. I hope to have updates at some point!

Amazing! We had stuffed mushrooms and artichoke dip. Both were appetizers. One would have been enough with salad and bread sticks.

We went to Pisansos's last night for dinner. The bread sticks and salad were fresh and delicious. We ordered the toasted raviolis for our appetizer they were a bit small but tasted good. I ordered the 15 layer lasagna which was very good and filling. My husband ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was really good as well. Our server was good, fast, and attentive. We had a good experience. Thank you for a good experience.

Delicious food and excellent service every time. This is always our birthday dinner spot. Make a reservation ahead of time and wear your stretchy pants- you won’t leave hungry!!

This place has nostalgia! It reminds me of when we were kids and our parents would take us out and get my sister a Shirley Temple and my brother and I a Roy Rogers. Inside it is very intimate and secluded, music lightly playing in the background. Wait staff are very attentive and friendly, it was my birthday, so I got $20 off my bill! Food was so delicious! I had a bone-in KC strip and my wife had the chicken fried steak. So much food, we definitely needed a box to take home. Cocktails were very tasty, and not watered down like a lot of places, they had some punch to them! Prices are reasonable, I definitely give this place a full five stars!

Old speakeasy with the decor just what you would expect. Old building, common tables and chairs, but what an experience. Individual jukebox selectors at each table from the 50s. Go there early and get a flight of old fashioned with different whiskey. Also got a surprisingly amazing Mint Julep. Ribeye served with fries and gravy and it was over the top fantastic. Do not miss the bread pudding. It is the best i have ever had. Must go!

Wanted a great lunch special. 11-3pm is the deal. Order consisted of 2X Crushed Chicken, French Onion Soup and Salad. Sweet Potato with Salad. The atmosphere was friendly and the service was great

Jenny was our delightful server. She was welcoming, efficient, and patient. She ensured we received all we'd ordered, pleasantly correcting any misunderstanding. The Wild West Shrimp is a family favorite, and the Parmesan Spinach Dip was also creamy deliciousness. Our steaks and burger were cooked to perfection as ordered, and the sides were tasty. The Brussels Sprouts were heavy on the dressing, but an interesting combination of honey and smokiness as advertised. The mango margarita tasted fresh and the old fashioned was strong and very good. We had a few bites of the caramel and candied pecan cheesecake, which was cold and delicious- but we were too full to eat it all. We'll enjoy all our leftovers! It felt a bit crowded trying to get in and out of our booth, with large parties next to us, but everyone was in a celebratory mood, which was nice.

I ordered the T-Bone steak and was a little disappointed. The meat tasted like it had been sprinkled with tenderizer way too early in the day. It was still a little tough, a little thin and a little too small for a T-Bone. It was advertised as a thick cut steak but lacked just a shade of being a half inch. The strawberry salad was excellent and the waitress Rachel was very attentive. Thank you Rachel.

I haven't seen a well stocked or cared for Golden Corral like this in years. It was bright and clean other than that gross guy in the green t-shirt who licked his fingers then reached for tongs. Only so much you can do about nasty people. That being said, the food was good. All my favorites were there and I didn't seen the problematic guy until my dessert was already on my plate. Lol

Always clean. Waitstaff is usually attentive, but the woman we had left dirty dishes pile up on the table. Walked past often without stopping for the plates. She did make sure everyone's drink was always full
